When looking for the appropriate Airsoft ACOG scope, you should first be familiar with the different types of Airsoft scopes, as these scopes make for better play in the Airsoft tournaments and competitions with your Airsoft Sniper Rifle. While it is not necessary for use in ordinary target shooting, the Airsoft ACOG scope can be beneficial in several other ways.

These Airsoft scopes upgrades the chances of making pinpoint long range shots and very useful for sniping. It also facilitates identifying the opponent in hiding in distances over the shooting range. The two types of scopes, the red dot and laser sights, also elevate the percentage of hits in close quarter battle and gun skirmishes, and basically improve the aesthetic appeal of your weapon.

Three Types Of Airsoft Scope

The first type is the telescopic scope. This scope enlarges the target several times over, depending on the model of the telescopic scope, and is ideal for snipers and combat troops. This Airsoft ACOG scope comes in several models, such as the 3-9 x 40, which is the most utilized scope model. The 3-9 means the enlargement sizes are from three times to nine times, including everything in between. The 40 is the diameter of the lens in millimeters. This is very useful for varying situations and instances.

There is the 4 x 32 model, which means the enlargement is four times and the lens size is 32 millimeters. Cross hairs are also considered in the telescopic scope and there are many different types to choose from, but basically these are attuned to the user’s taste and appeal. There is the usual 30-30 type that is one of the more utilized cross hair versions.

In the other two types of Airsoft ACOG scope, there are no enlargements of the targets and basically you will see the actual sizes of your targets. These are the red dot sight and the laser sight types. These scopes are ideal for competitions, tournaments, and closed quarter battles, and are also appropriate for pistol use.

The red dot sight casts a red or green dot from inside the lens and onto the target. The red dot is appropriate for use with the 40 millimeter lens and you can hold it with a little distance between your eyes and the scope itself. This Airsoft ACOG scope is good for random battles and pistols.

The third type, the laser sight is similar to the red dot sight, except that the dot is projected and visible on the target itself. This Airsoft ACOG scope type can be very intimidating for the enemy when the dot is cast onto him, but may otherwise prove to be more conspicuous that its counterparts. This laser sight is very ideal for low light situations and it can still be visible during moist daylight situations. With the different models of the laser sight, some may even be mounted on top of telescopic scopes to augment performance.

So, as you can see, the three types of Airsoft ACOG scope have different characteristics which may be used for different and varying applications, with each having its own usefulness and satisfaction rating.
